Not sure if anyone remembers some of the Porsche UK publicity photos. They often use the numberplate 911 HUL....as below.

 

 

I saw coming out of central London this afternoon a brand new 911 Turbo with 911 HUL number plate.

 

Does anyone know if this is the Porsche UK Promo tag....or if they have any further info about it?

Yep, think it is Porsche promo plate. Got magazine pics somewhere of the plate on the then new 996 turbo and remember seeing it on one for the first 993 turbos used for magazine/promo stuff. Use to have a 993 turbo, beautiful car to look at at and drive!!!!!

Well spotted Si! Yeah I remember the plate from way back, I believe the first car it was on was a maroon 993 turbo as Ronnie says.

a quick google search says used since the 1970's by porsche for their press demo cars

When i was a kid a lads parents in the school used to drop him off in a 911 with the plate THE 911 !! how much was that plate worth.
