as the title says a member on here (cant find post on who it was) helped me locate an ebay item of a S2 loom (piggy back). it has arrived so now i would like to fit it...

 

 

two problems..........

 

is it easy to replace the S1 PTU for the S2?

 

noticed my new (second hand) S2 PTU has no bracket!!!!!!

 

is there anyway i can make the S1 PTU bracket fit the S2 PTU?

 

if not then i am buggered :headvswal

In regards to the wiring its a straight forward plug-n-play fitment. If your missing the bracket than just relocate the PTU elsewhere, to somewhere where it can be secured easily. You may have to seperate the wiring shroud that holds the PTU wiring and the Temp sender wires together so that you can place it somewhere else.

 

I have mine mounted under the nose panel. Have seen others near the headlight/fuse box.

 

If you prefer you can just buy the S2 PTU bracket from MJP.

so all in all i could just relocate it elsewhere and get it fitted tonight?

 

Yes mate, under the o/s headlight or on the inner wing next to the battery are popular places.
