after i took these out and replaced them with some piping connectors santa and myself went for a spin.

now the car goes to safety boost only. It still has the engine missing at high revs so now we are thinking that when the boost controller was taken out the wastegate solenoid was not connected properly,

would you lot all agree this is the case? Me and santa are worried because surely with safety boost i should not be experiencing the major engine missing????

we will try to see what needs reconnecting next time however i would also like to add..... even though i am on safety boost the car generally runs better. does not stall....... Actually feels quicker boosting.......... and seems alot smoother in general (less lumpy)

santa can confirm what others might not understand (my writing)

either way... i am a step closer and the car runs better... now to find out what could be causing the missing

is there anything i have missed santa? maybe my ecu needs changing or it it the speedo conversion?

have you thought about the fact hat you could be getting dett. if the engine boosts fine, then detts, the knock sensor detects this and reduces the boost and ignition timing to protect itsself could be a dirty maf causing the engine to lean out at high rpm once the lambda sensors switch off at 3k

standard ngk plugs recommended by forums. plus they went in with correct gap about 300 miles ago

besides this problem happened when i got the car prior to changing plugs and air filter. maf looked good

ok Damo only has 1 o2 sensor working, boost solenoids disconnected on both sides and has had numerous dodgy clips n lines to replace, its not detting as we have a computer to plug in and the cars never thrown a code up...so.. change clips, connect things back to how they should be n replace sensor.Got to do this all FIRST! jeez n stop worrying:headvswal :D

hehe ok.

well i was in the middle of changing the gearbox stick for the standard auto but the bit that goes up the inside of the shift stick has been cut for the shorter knob... for a temp solution i have made a button for the overdrive feature so i am using the @uprated@ piece of shite with the button on one side until i can find the parts i am missing

so now i cannot find what to use instead :-(

i have tightened a few clips... i am in the middle of changing S1 PTU for s2 PTU. will let you know if the car starts after :-)

can anyone help with providing the easiest way to get to these boost solenoids? I am looking to have a go at the weekend however i have been told a lot of disconnecting pipes (which might break) is needed first to be able to get to these. My question is..

is there any easier way? shame i cannot do it from underneath the car :(

all solutions will be greatly appreciated so that i can get these put back in :)

bump......

1. didn't realise the boost solenoids (when unclipped) can cause this problem

2, whats easiest way to reconnect them? a bit tight to do by hand

bump.......... again

sorry to be a pain however santa and i are going to tackle this soon but would like some direction as to how to reconnect wastegate pipe thingies and the best way of doing it as (ofcourse) the engien is tight.

please can we get help regarding this issue or is it that no one on this forum knows how?

bump.............

i would have thought atleast 1 person has knowledge of their own car. The amount of people who claim to be pros on here..... surely i am not the only one who has had this problem and surely someone must know how to reconnect the wastegate actuator pipes?

please can someone on this forum be so kind as to provide info or a guide (i cannot find one myself) so that myself and santa (another forum member) can do this "soon"?
