Yes its official I have a 'squeeky clutch'. When I depress the pedal it squeeks from underneath car. Popped into Mr Clutch and was told I needed a new one. Labour alone was £260.

I have no gear changing issues, no slip, no tight pedal!!

Is there an easy lube solution chaps.

My clutch booster started to fail and it sounded like a puppy whimpering in the footwell. Then the clutch became hard to depress and the noise went away. It has been like this for approx 18 months now, and my left thigh is huuuge!! LOL.

Clutch is fine.

Funny that!

If you took it to Mr Brakes i reckon it would turn out to be your brakes that are causing it LOL

My local garage did it for £180 last time and I've done it in 2.5 hours on a ramp myself before so even that's a bit steep if you ask me but it's a pain in the arse so I don't mind paying when it breaks every year LOL

It could be the clutch fork or bearing is squeeking and a bit of lube will fix it but if it is you might as well put a new clutch in as the box has to come off anyway.

If the noise could be from inside then it must be the booster or just a squeeky pedal.

The most common place for the noise under the car is the clutch fork arm where it fits over the pivot ball.

From under the car, remove the fork arm rubber gaiter, now undo and move the slave cylinder out of the way, now carefully move the fork towards the front of the car and with a long screwdriver dab some copper slip on the pivot ball head, Job done no need for a new clutch.

Top tip there! :)

Didn't think you could get to it through the bell housing.

Seems Mr Clutch thought the same eh :D its awkward but a whole lot easier than removing the gearbox.
