Just got the car in the air to do the water leak (rad p*ssing out at bottom) but while checking the underneath i found a plug disconnected on the same split loom as the steering rack motor? does anyone know what its for?

Looks like Boost solenoid. Does it have a boost controller fitted ?

no, totally standard! what problems can this give me? dont think ive noticed any difference but as the headgasket has gone i cant try it lol just my luck

Initially thought the same but location wrong, I see this flipping connector every day I am under zeds and its normally clipped up next to the one for the steering rack solenoid, so it most likely is the one to the pressure switch on the steering rack.
