hi

im having some problems with my 300 t/t its a uk 1990 auto. ive got it back from garage after 3 1/2 years was in getting an engine rebuild, couldnt get the car started after this and they said it was an electrical fault, he didnt give a f*** and so ive got it delivered back home, put new /secondhand loom in and ive managed to get it started , running like a bag of spanners.eventually got it ticking over but ive still got problems, done a ecu check and it said code 34, i would like to know what i need to do to sort this out please..... getting stressed out now... thanks michael

Sorry to hear this mate , code 34 = detonation sensor circuit (as far as i'm aware) can't be of anymore help than that i'm afraid , but sure someone will be along soon , to give you some advise

Chris :)

3 1/2 years ffs what garage was that so that we all know to steer clear of!

Regards the code, its not something ive delved into as yet. However the det sensors appear to be prone to failing which as far as I can gather puts the car into safety boost rather than causing a misfire. It might be worth doing the old fit a resistor trick to see if it helps.

more likely youve still got an electrical problem such as broken wire or dodgy connection, or crossed over connection though.......provided they havent made an arse of the rebuild that is.

hi guys just been out tinkering with z again seems to be running a lot better, i reset the ecu and done the diagnostics came up code 55 this time, i dont understand this as there is a couple of connections going nowhere, ive got a small rubber hose at the drivers side seems as if its meant to be connected to somewhere but cant find termination point right next to small fuse box drivers side near window baffled...

A second hand loom probably dont help, wouldnt it of been a better idea to buy new? More than likely the second hand loom is also faulty, give Jeff a buzz at Zedworld im sure he will point u in the right direction.

Where in Glasgow are you?...with a bit of luck somebody local to you could bring over there car so you could see where the hose is supposed to go

hi im in clydebank quite local to the motorway car is on a sorn at the moment obviously lol,,,..im thinking about replacing the loom with a new one, dont really want to sink too much cash into it,but i do want it back on the road again...cheers..

I dont know who is going to be local to you but if your really struggling I could come through some weekend so you can get a look at where the connectors and hoses are supposed to go! that is provided they are right on my car :D

hi

ossian im now getting code 55 thru the ecu, i m totally baffled as ther is stuff not connected , maybe its the wrong loom that ive fitted???

55 means no faults, what stuff isnt connected, there isnt a fault code for all sensors but most of them. are all the boost and vac pipes correctly connected. what work have this garage done?

hi there is a couple of things not connected i will take photos tomorrow, the car got a full complete engine rebuild top and bottom, but unfortuanately they couldnt get some one decent to fit a new loom, thats why i done it myself, i know i should be chuffed with code 55 but got the feeling somethings not right....hope not ...
