what types of material's are the front's of the z made of. As mine has been in for a respray on the front and seal's.The day after i got it back i noticed cracking along the front of the car.Returned the car to spray shop on monday they appologised about crack's and would sort it out.I phoned them yesterdsay (the owner was back)he informed me that if he was in monday when i took the car back he would not have re-done the work.They phoned me thisafternoon only to explain that when they put the car in the oven to bake the material that the nose is made of is shrinking under the paint.Have any of you heard of this or had this problem.:(

mines done the same!:( sprayer said its a reaction to the old paint and new!:confused: so got to wait for the crack to settle and get it done again.

mines was ok for about 2 weeks then one sunny afternoon the grand canyon opened up! and its like a fault line making its way around, they said best to leave it do all its moving then they will spray again, just got to be careful no small children fall in it!:rolleyes:

Stock front bumper is Polyurethane. No idea why its happened to yours and Dans though. Im guessing yours is Fibreglass though Dan ?

christ your crack is big:D, no my crack was nothing like that size plus it was only visual,if you touched it you could not feel it,so it was under the paint.

If its fibre glass then it shouldnt be baked in the oven as that will happen it just needs to cure on its own.When i bought my car it looked like crazy paving on the tailgate as i have a skin on there and my mate (sprayer) re-painted it for me and said it was due to the amount of shit material on there (filler etc) and poor preperation what caused it.I have before and after pics i will put up later

This can happen if too much paint is on the panel. They may have to sand it back to the gel coat.
