Which disks to fit?

Hi guys,

I need new disks so I'm wondering about 3G and DBA. Given the cost differences, what are the benefits going to be?

the Zed is still essentially stock, and will stay that way, so I don't need the big brake kit or anything silly. Most of my driving is going to be hooning around B-roads in Northumberland, so the brakes will need to be a little bit good (otherwise I'd just go to Kwik Fist), but I'm not likely to be tracking any time soon.

Well i'm still in the middle of preparing my brake refit atm.

Refurbed the standard calipers.

Got braided lines & portefield pads off Dan @ Dta.

315mm brembo discs and caliper spacer for the front (DB Power)

brembo discs at the rear

So should be better than stock for sure.

I could post pics over the weekend of the kit if it helps.

Cheers for the answer Dub, but I think you're already talking about more of an upgrade than I'm considering at the moment :) But don't let that stop you from posting piccies :D

I was just wondering if the assembled heads on the forum could give me a few insights into the differences between the 3G and DBA disks so I can have an idea about how much money to spend. I'm only replacing the disks because the old ones are worn out - not because I thought the stock ones were rubbish.

My Zed is currently being brought to life by Dazkent , so I thought I'd take the oppurtunity to make a few minor upgrades as we go. I haven't really had a chance to drive it yet because it wasn't really roadworthy when I bought it.

hi mate i have my breaker at D2 have a chat with darren to see if these will do the job.:duffer:
