It looks like my n/s turbo seals are on their way out, blue smoke on idle etc.

So my question is what is the easiest way of repairing it? How easy is it to remove the turbo's. Probably better to do both, what price am i looking at?

Featured Replies

Ummm im gonna be reeaaal honest with you..............................i dont have a fooking clue lol

Id say im a pretty confident worker with cars, its just i havnt really had the time to have a good look whats what on it, i just have a hell of a lot to learn yet about 300's.

Is there any sort of pictures you could show me with or just explain please mate, ill give it a go as long as its not too much, its more smokey on the n/s bank

Cool, brilliant, cheers, thanks a lot lol, ill have an attempt of that on a dry day, are the where could i source the parts to?

Is it likely to be them do you reckon? Its seems to dissapear when the oil pressure goes down after starting

ignore the oil pressure if its a standard gauge as 99% of them dont work properly anyway, mine was smoking a lot on start up from cold and about 5 mins into my journey, also would smoke on idle when warm, now i dont get anything, the fuel consumption has gone up and it drives much better

you can get them from mjp in our traders section

Cool, sounds like it should do the trick, thanks once again

Try the PCV valves first they don't cost much from MJP.

Worth doing before you start replacing turbo's.

Engine out and new turbo's isn't cheap :(

Do you have H pipe in the exhaust? It is probably too this if you don´t have.

A question, in UK, how much cost the labour for remove and put engine?...1000-2000 Pound...

Good luck

Just thinking of the worst case senario, is it possible to remove the turbos without dropping the engine?

Yes but it's very tricky and time consuming to do. One side is almost impossible if you ask me.

I had a go myself then realised it would be quicker to just take the engine out and you can then see all the other bits that are about to fail - old perished pipes etc.

I think i might just leave it to someone whos had a bit of practice!

dude, for £50 just try the valves first

Will do bud:smash:

It is possible, some people do it, but the time you spend trying it's usually faster and easier to remove the engine
