ive just spent an hour trying to get my indiglo sills to work,dta-motorsport kindly gave me the new invertors to fit,but there are no invertors on my car wired direct to interior light by previous owner wired them to invertors nothing?

would that meen the indiglo lights are blown?

Is it that there is nowhere to connect them to under the sills?

From your sills you should have 2 wires coming from each side. On the inverter you should have a red and a black, and 2 seperate back cables...red and black are 12v which you connect to your 12v supply ie..interior light, etc... the other 2 black cables coming from your inverter go to the 2 cables coming from the el panel of the sill.

 

same procedure for the other side...

 

If its not working then, confirm you have 12v at your source connection point by using a multi meter, if still not working after confirmation then you have a possible problem with either the inverter or the el panel. From previous reading about these el sills there was alot of trouble with water ingress causing them to go faulty.

Also in addition, i remembered there is a little switch on a flying lead attached to the inverter which is an isolater switch...switch it while you have confirmed 12v going to the inverter...

there are no invertors on my car just 2 wires from sills red+black which are wired to inside light,i have 2 brand new invertors but nothing i'l have alook at instructions as above but if nothing are the el's much to buy

You need the invertors wired in mate, if you do it as per the instructions in the link and still not working, let me know.
