Trying to instal Adobe CS3 on my laptop (vista). I have an error advising me of the following.

attachment.php?attachmentid=48077&stc=1&d=1242061417

Now I've checked permissions and all seems ok. Just wondering if my Temp folder only has a small 'max' capacity and wondering if there's anyway to increase this?

hmm im not totally au fait with vista yet - have you checked through control panel. it sounds similar to the virtual memory slider you get with all versions of windows

Doesn't appear to be an option for that in CP. Folder size is a miserable 24kb which is probably why this ruddy thing won't install!

not sure how to change the temp folder size but cant you specify another folder for it to use?

No you can't. Autorun automatically goes there without any option for user input.

UAC is user acount control and you can turn it off in CP and this will unlock everyhting so vista does not ask permission all the time etc..

It was a mission to find the temp file to start off with.... (just fiddling to see If I can work anything out)

P.s... have you already cleared it from whatever is in there before trying to install Adobe CS3?

Yeah I've emptied it. It's only small anyway. Temp file capacity is 24kb!

Mines massive... unless its a different Temp file ??

Right before i get into this.

A) Why on earth did you put vista back on!

B) How much ram does the laptop have

C) How much HDD space is free

Check the following

B) My Computer > Right click on the hard drive > Properties (tell me how much free space)

C) Right click on my computer > Properties > Tell me the amount of memory it has
