Hi all, i want to remove the spraypaint off my alloys as the lip is shiny underneth anything i can use without damaging what is underneth, thanks

When i had mine polished the metal polisher had to send them off to have them shot blasted first to get the paint off. It does pit the surface and you will have to polish it properly afterwards

I just rubbed it all off with wet and dry and gradually go less and less abrasive - then polish em up :)

Yeah it takes time but its possible.

 

When i refurbed my alloys i went for 280 (as they were BADLY pitted) then 600, then 1200, 1500 and finally 2000. Gave a perfect smooth surface :D

Let me have your wheels for a week and I'll get my wife to do it for free, she's getting quite good at removing paint from wheels,:rolleyes: any curb will do.:wack:
