After a 'spirited' drive to York and back yesterday, I have noticed that I have a small amount of oil sprayed on the side of the battery.

I did notice a oily smell on the way home but it was only for a short period. There doesnt appear to be any smoke on start up, accelerating, decelerating or on idle (hot or cold).

The PCV Valves were changed about eight months ago, although its probably only covered about 1000 - 1500 miles since.

I have done a quick search on here and not come up with much other than PCV Valves. Could these of failed already?, or is it probably something more serious?.

Any help is much appriciated.

it's either going to be the turbo oil feed, rocker cover, PCV valve, PCV hose, or one of the two PCV breather out lets in the corner under the idle control valve. there's nothing else in that area which would cause oil splash on the battery.

Thanks for the reply. I shall have a look around that area and see if anything is either loose or has come off.
