Thought I would just say hi, as I was a member on here about a yr and half ago. I sold my last '91 TT Import and regretted it ever since! So now I have my Scooby as my family car and my new '90 TT Import as my weekend car. It's recently had a full 7k engine re-build done by Zetec, but it's smoking badly out of the right-hand side exhaust pipe, so got a few probs to sort out before I come to any meetings or shows in it.

Oh, I didn't pay the 7k! I actually swapped my Evo 4 for it from a girl on here called SoniaZX. I have spoken to ZTech and they told me that the exhaust pipes were full of oil and needed to be cleaned out. Or, it could be some sort of cracked valves. I'm just having a look round to see who the best person for the job is! It feels good to be back in the Zed :-)

i remember soniazx being on here and complaining about the same thing, i would have imagined that if the exhaust was full of smoke that it would have leared by now

welcome back

Hello and welcome to the Club :)

Zetec or Ztech? If it's had a rebuild from Ztech, then it may need doing again...properly. Get a compression check.
