HI, i have recently bought a 300zx twin turbo import. about 3k miles ago it had an engine rebuild and the turbos were repalced with T25's at a cost of alomost 4k. sincenthen the turbo gauge has been giving me a duff reading. when you start the car it is in the middle when i know it should be to the left. Also i have noticed that the exhaust just under the drivers footwell has started to make a louder sound..possibly there is a leak in the syste,. just wondered if anyone could shed some light on this.

thanks

4k for two stock turbos:shock: that's a huge price for that mate!

The stock boost gauge is not very accurate, however you could check the boost sensor the tube sometimes splits and causes problems. Sensor is under the bonnet on the drivers side above the relay box. It's a small plastic box bolted on to the inner wing, the pipe fits underneath.

How can i tell if the turbos are working as they should. is there some sort of test that i can do. also it looks like where the exhaust meets the manifold thats where the leak is. would that affect the operation of the turbos.

Zautos is on your door step also, have taken mine there several times and they are very good. Calverton Drive, Strelley NG8
