As title.........

 

I've been a fan for yonks now. Just listening to the latest album (Jagged Edge), but am gutted as I'm not able to see him live on his current tour :( but at least I've just managed to download 2 of the entire shows he put on in Australia back in March, all in glorious HD as well :cool:

 

I'm sure most people know him for his most famous hits, Cars and Are Friends Electric, and will probably dismiss him as a electro-synth-pop one-hit-wonder from the 80's, well think again he's been receiving a resurgence over the last few years in the Industrial scene! And with some VERY famous music industry people citing him as influential in their own music careers!

Dave, the guy's a leg-end and a massive influence on my own music. In fact Trent Reznor, another influence on me, probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Numan.

 

Have to confess though that the last thing I bought of his was back in 2003 when he released "Hybrid" (a phenomenal remix/collaboration double album).

 

"Down In The Park" is in my "Top 20 best tracks ever" list! :D

Trent Reznor was one of the people I was referring to, along with Marilyn Manson... in fact there's a huge list ;)

I saw him appear in an episode of The Mighty Boosh last year.

The first 7" vinyl single I bought when I was about 12 yrs old (1979) was 'Complex' .. I have liked him ever since.
