It seems i have wasted my money buying a 300zx TT a young lad told me.....

 

Yesterday i was sat on my drive, showing a few of my mates my new pride and joy, when i seen 2 greasy skinned, acne riddled youths walking towards me.

 

One of them politely asked me, 'what did you buy that piece of shit for?'

 

I replied, 'like to see what you got'

 

He then answered, ' i got a golf GT TDI, its got 3 chips in it, 190 bhp, it will piss all over that'

 

I said, ' i have a bag of McCains oven chips in the boot' - he looks blankly

 

Then the other says, ' my 309 is better than that'

 

I said, go and get them then and ill meet you somewhere, they then go on to explain how they cant actually drive, mainly becuase they are only 16, BUT one of them is a FULLY trained mechanic:rofl:

 

So basically ive wasted my money and should of bought a stinking diesel, but dont some people just piss you off?!

Lol i wouldnt waste my fuel, plus i wouldnt wanna catch whatever gave one of them the furry mould stuff he had on top of his lip! (moustashe:rofl:)

 

One did get a bit lippy, and i did ask him if he'd like a knuckle sandwich, shortly after that they left!

 

Just really gets up my nose sometimes, i work hard for everything i got, never had no loans, nor leant money, and i own land rover discovery 1, and a 300zx at 19, neither of which were cheap. I think people are just jealous!

Also, in addition to the fully trained mechanic part, i spent 2 years at college doing motor mechanics at a poor, but adequet level, nvq, and i have certificates, but i was told to become a technition i was to spend another 3 years at a work placement, now to me, thats 5 years, so what this young chap is telling me is that hes been at college, or, a work place since he was 11 years old, then took all of the tests required to become a 'fully trained mechanic'', bearing in mind i done i think it was 18/19 exams which encluded pratical and theory

lol, the knowledge of youth, would of loved to see the trained mechanic's expression if you started asking him a few questions

 

ie: how many valves does this engine have then or camshafts for that matter !

Yeh i know exactly what you mean, i know for a fact i dont know everything, but what i also know is a fact is i know more than them, the generation of today base their facts on qoutes from Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, where as i can honestly say ive rebuilt and driven the cars and engines ive personally built over the years, admitidly ive had help, but its all about learning, thats why ive joined this forum!

 

If i had a quid for everytime ive told someone who believes they are as great a mechanic as the likes of Bill Blydenstein, but then argue the fact, and end up being wrong in the end, id be parting with Donald Trump!

 

Also the Nova i built in my nova thread, was quicker than GT TDI, that belongs to what used to be a friend, but he was as bad for knowing it all! Untill i put him to show! He also said he once owned a standard Escort rs turbo MFI that was quicker than an evo VIII........

 

I think its just where i live! Inbreads......

went to see f&f 4 with a few mates on my B'day,and decided to go for a drink first as only one driver. We sat outside the bar near the cinema on there veranda area.

 

As you can guess the conversation from my three mates and me soon turned to cars , rx7's 300's supra's,skyline's,american muscle etc

 

Only to then have a young chap about 17 turn round completely interrupt us mid flow to say .....

 

"i tell you what mate if you want a fast car my brother's got a focus st for sale loads of sick mods it would put all them cars to shame"

 

ok i admit it's not exactly a slow car but hardly in the same league but it was his darn cheek that annoyed me more :x:

I do like Focus ST's, but for a start, the wrong wheels are driven on them! :p

 

But its a completely different class of car, its an insult to compare an the ST to the likes of the design, all be it not a good one, of the rotary, the and the mighty tunability of the VG30DETT, the 2JZ and RB family!

I recently have encountered some similair goons who think they know more about the inns and outs of my car, tried telling me his fiesta 300bhp rs turbo he paid £900 for would piss all over my car! cus it had chips n' every fin dun to it! ha ha ha, and also last nite i was told of an evo 8 which had a special smoothed out dump valve? and th car was bored out to a 10??? wtf goes on in the minds of these turds?

Ive done this a few times, and the answers are great, usually pointing towards the side of the plenium, then i tell them, when they are fully qualified, i will show them where it is....................
