Ok, the time has come to lower the Z, but only a bit.

 

I found some lowering springs on ebay that claim to lower by 2" all round, I measured where that would take the wheel to in the arch and it is far too low!

 

So, now im not sure exactly how low I want to go...

 

But, are just lowering springs a wise move, or will the ruin the cars handling?

 

If so, what other options are availible, and,

 

it would be most helpful if you guys could post some pics of your lowered Z`s and give details on what set-up they are and how much they are lowered by...

Here is a pic of mine. not sure how much it is lowerd but it is running on teins I think around 30mm

If you have the budget, get H&R springs. They are about a 30 - 40mm drop, but they are special order only and around £450. Excellent springs, similar quality to Eibach.

 

I am running Tein S-tech on mine with fully adjustable camber arms front and rear.

Remember when a spring manufacturer states their springs drop specification they themselves constructed the springs based on the ride height when brand new, yours like most others will be lower than brand new by virtue of worn sagging springs. Now if you take this in to account the new springs will most likely only lower the car from its worn level by a further inch but will be firm at this level so most likely be absolutely fine.

 

This is born out by the many looks of disapointment I have seen when we have been asked to fit lowered springs only to find the car does not drop much if anything, the harder springs been similar in level to a worn original anyway but on the upside the handling is always improved.

mine is dropped using tein monoflex suspension, could really benefit from adjustable camber arms, tension rods and rear adjustable camber arms
