Brake Pads and Paintwork!

OK, I wont go into why, but basically my car has been driven without my knowledge on various occasion and the brake pads are DEAD! Because it was driven, all of the metal shards and crap that has come off the brake disc from the "metal to metal" has now stuck all over the drivers side of the car.

How can i get this off? It is very rough to the touch and no matter how much cleaning it has it wont come off.

Is someone going to be a dead man for using my car and me needing a full respray????

You could try using a claybar with plenty of lubrication. Probably will need a thorough machine polish afterwards though?

Had this before, a few years ago i was a valeter, a jag came in with the same problem.

Using truck wash (good for brake dust and heavy road grime) wet the sides of the car up to about the middle of the doors, then with a steamer on warm/hot, steamed it all off. Took a couple of goes.

Then had to mop the paint to match, finish it off with loads of polish.

Seek advice from a decent valeters.
