fokin ell, droped my watch at the jewellers and went and did a bit of shopping, went back anhour later and got a bill for £35 quid, i nearly fell over, i have a citizen eco drive (quite a nice watch) and it has a rechargable battery but they fook up if you dont wear your watch to charge the battery, will be wearing it a bit more than normal

ive heard of a device you can put your watch on to mimic the movement of your arm to keep them charged, anyone know what it is or where to get one

£35:eek: I paid £6 for mine last week and thought I over paid for that.

I have a bit of a watch fetish and own a few Swiss timepieces; so IMO £35 doesn't sound to bad for a specialist....

......I took my Tag Aqua Racer Chronograph for a new battery and Ernest Jones charged just over £50. That did include a full pressure test to ensure water resistance to 300m though.

Worst thing was that they fecked up the stopwatch function. When I got it back, I tried the stop watch and it didn't reset itself to 12 o'clock. I had to take it back again and they had to send it away. Again. They did fix it eventually and I got them to refund the money for my "inconvenience" Ernest Jones; "the diamond and watch specialists" I don't think so!!!:o

Richard;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

When my watch needed a new strap......................it had to be sent to Finland to get it fitted. Only took a week to get there and back tho':D
