fokin ell, droped my watch at the jewellers and went and did a bit of shopping, went back anhour later and got a bill for £35 quid, i nearly fell over, i have a citizen eco drive (quite a nice watch) and it has a rechargable battery but they fook up if you dont wear your watch to charge the battery, will be wearing it a bit more than normal

ive heard of a device you can put your watch on to mimic the movement of your arm to keep them charged, anyone know what it is or where to get one

:xxx: machine.:)

look at the DESCRIPTION

This watch is from the Citizen Eco-Drive Largo Perpetual Calendar Collection. It is an outstanding men’s Perpetual Calendar Alarm watch that is masculine and made from high grade stainless steel. Dynamic men's watch is powered by the sun or any other light so it will never need batteries. so u need a torch and some batteries 4 that lol

i had an eco drive then lost it...its a solar panel basically...with a small backup batt for overnight...i can only guess from your post that you live in a cave alan....:D

Alan mate, I've got an eco-drive...they charge up using light. Good thing about them is they can also use artificial light e.g. lights!

I've had mine coming on 3yrs and I don't think I've ever seen it dip below max charge yet! You really must live in a cave!!

This one's mine...http://www.citizenwatch.com/CUK/English/detail.asp?Country=CUK&Language=English&ModelNumber=AV0031-59E&page=1

i buy a pack of batteries from the puond shop and pop the casing off the back of my work watches and replace it myself. But i do indeed take my expesive watches to a jewellers to have it re-sealed to the best. apparently if it says 50m in water and the battery has been changed, the seal is never the same and is then less than 50m in water.

anyways the pound shops;) get something like 20 watch batters n then loads of clock bats aswell.
