Ive put the screwdriver everywhere and had a listen, to be honest i dont know what its meant to sound like when its ok. Theres like a wirring noise coming from the sump, everywhere else i put it it doesnt seem to make a bad noise.

The rattling noise seems to be coming from in between the sump and gearbox - does that sound even more like big end shells?

Im taking it down to zedworld on the 5th of may, if it was ur car, would u drive it down (60miles ish) or would u take it on a trailer?

and when u say a nasty job, just how nasty are we talking about?

How much do i have to take off, replace etc.

I think the engine really has to come out?

I've heard you can do it by removing the subframe then sump, crank etc but not sure if it just makes the job harder to do?
