Hi,

I'm new to 300zx's I've had a couple of GTO's but decided to come over to the Z side. Just wondering if anyone has any information about the ZX i've just bought.

Also any tips for a new owner greatly appreciated.

Its still on ebay as a completed item. Number 110374208674

Thanks in advance.

Ian

Oh i wish stellaZ but got baby on the way this year so trying to keep the borrowing down.

Although, i haven't checked the lotto ticket for last night!?

I have just bought my zed for £8000 from a car dealer and only lasted 300miles. I have to rebuild the turbo`s. I am angry.

I dont know if u can find a decent zed for 2 grand...

Oh mate, I'm sorry to hear that.

I know what you're saying, I'm obviously not expecting a showroom condition car. I'm pretty handy at bodywork and interior trimming so as long as i can find something mechanically sound I'd be happy.

I think i may go for a N/A to avoid future turbo bills. Just a thought.

depends what ur looking i searched and searched for a tt as that's what i wanted , but kept on coming across either one's that where rotted to hell under closer inspection and not just uk spec's neither, or wasnt to keen on people's comments when buying

so settled for a n/a i found that was in very good nick and most importantly no evident rust

admitedly i've had a few issues with the car , but all in all very pleased and love the lower end grunt and noise the n/a gives out :hyper:

just make sure u thoroughly check the car over or buy from the club;)

chris

have you pm'd this person to try and resolve the sale if no resolution can be made make a complaint to e bay explaining the circumstances they may be able to help then leave a negative feedback this can be changed to a neutral feedback at a later stage if you get a result.

She's just emailed me asking for a further £100 to hold the car until Thursday!

And has got sh!!ty when i asked her about if the car has any rust!?

For christ sake!!!!!!

just looked at the linked ad for this car an you've already paid £100 more than the required dep I would politely email her back saying you wil collect the car on thurs if that is what you arranged explaining you've already paid £200 dep and( I'm assuming you arrange a later collection date prior to buying the car) Be sure to add Without prejudice at the beginning of your email and don't lower yourself to a slanging match kep all your emails in both directions just in case you need to resort to an ebay settlement or a small claims court sorry its a bit long winded hope this helps

I just told her that i will be collecting on Tuesday and asked her about rust or smoke so i can get an idea of work it'll be needing.

Heres the responce!?

Ian

you are missing the point entirely. I have no problem what so ever with people asking questions about a potential purchase, which is why I ststed I was happy to arrange viewings, test drives, and/or independant surveys on the car. HOWEVER all of these should have taken place BEFORE any offer was made.

I have not misdescribed the car.

For the record, the car is not rusty and does not smoke at any time. It is a stunning car and was sold by a 300zx specialist for £3,500 ono with a full 12 month gaurentee as he had such faith in the car.

Sadly you will never get the chance to appreciate the car for yourself as you have wasted enough of my time already.

if that's the case demand your £200 back they have broken their side of the deal surely

Well she's backed out of it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, IF YOU SEE IT RE-LISTED DON'T GO NEAR IT, ITS OBVIOUSLY HIDING SOMETHING. The member id is malevolent.jester

Thanks for all the advice everyone. All the info and help has been great.

what absolutly un real , wasted time?? , what a fruit ! i cant say what i'd say back on a open forum

i'd walk away mate dont like the way it's worded but not my choice at end of day

just be carefull , ur only asking general questions not disputing the fact of sale

but i would if her message's continue on that level

im gonna check out the link

it's still not 10pm 4 days later! she can't back out and if you arranged in writing otherwise for monday you still have time. If you paid by paypal file a dispute to get your money back and keep all correspondence if you decide not to buy it then you'll loose you deposit obviously

im glad mate and think u should be too , buy one from a club member and try and get ur deposit back if poss

also you could leave some nice bad feedback to get your monies worth along the lines of un co-operative seller misled me and stole my deposit sellers can't leave neg anymore so anyone else looking to buy the car off the bay can see how they work

to be fair it appears to be a well worded add

this made me smile though>

This particular example is finished in the only colour I personally would buy a 300zx in, as I felt a car as flamboyant as this requires the gleaming red coachwork to give it even more presence when on the road.

In particular with the roof off it can become quite a chore explaining to people that it is not a Lamborghini!!!!!!!

Special mention needs to go to the engine noise on this particular car. The engine has a cruising burble befitting of a V8 with a lovely deep growl when the car accelerates. This is not to be mistaken for a boy racer raspy noise, this is the real sound of power and genuinely, I have not heard another car sound as good, including other 300zx s.

still has the titanium key though and i notice a Z on the key ring same as the club issue on joining??

8ace you've hit the nail mate.

Think i need a little more bread to take the taste of the sh!t away! lol

  • Author

Yeah it is a well worded ad, but look closely no mention of engine specifics or general condition.

Its all a little bit vague in hindsight

im still laughing at the wording now

only 300zx to have a real power noise!!! , ohhh hang on i mean only lambo:rofl::rofl:

there's always good example's popping up threw the club just when and where

Here ya go, still after taking a £200 deposit, i am apparently a time waster! A RICH time waster apparently. Like someone mentioned before, i'm sill within the 4 day collection she stated! Oh we love ebay.

No

this car sale will not be going through. I have kept all of your emails for the record and trust me, I have persevered longer than any other seller would. Your word means nothing and as such I wont accept it.

No you will not be getting your deposit back off me as you have failed to meet all the criteria of the auction listing. IF you feel that this is an injustice feel free to taje me to the small claims court where I will rigerously defend in my home court of Darlington. Im sure it will be of interest to the Court the paperwork I have ammassed. I will no longer be answering any more of your emails other than from your legal representative.

The notion of deposits was invented because of timewasters like you

but the deadline(unless you agreed otherwie) would be 10pm tonight. ????

  • Author

Small claims court me thinks i have the email from her backing out and the deposit proof.

All within 4 days of the auction ending.

What do'ya reckon my chances are?

Cheers

'tis a lot of hassle going through courts (they are prob aware of that and will take full advantage of the fact) was it a bank transfer or paypal payment made?
