Well as I few of u may have seen my clutch has gone. Once we have been under the car it appears it has a nasty oil leak.

By the looks and sounds of things the oil has ran in to the clutch causing it to slip and burn out. I can't believe it. Still haven't ran the engine in fully yet and iv been taking it easy. I'm gutted.

Going to call phil in the morning to see if he will fix it. Only had it back 2 months :(

Should not cost you a penny, it sounds like a warranty affair. Rear oil seals normally last for years not months. I'm sure he would agree with this as well. There are two things that can cause this failure, the first is the seal was damaged when installed and the second is wear on the crankshaft seal face which is quite common and should have been inspected at the time of installation. This can be sorted by fitting a different depth oil seal.

Thanks bud. Is there anything else that could have caused it to go

Not really, it is a standard oil seal arrangement that would normally function perfectly for about 5 to 6 years before a little wear would have occurred and the seal would also degrade with age.

Hey mate gutted for you!

Sounds like you have a good result though good luck with getting it sorted.

Just got to hope the garage will take it back no problem. Guess this is where u see how good a garage is.

To be honest though phil who did the car was a really nice, genuine and honest bloke so hopefully he will just tell me to get the car back down to him.

Yep its is a true test of a garage to see ho wthey react in these situations. Sounds like you have a water tight case though bud.

Don't think it would come to that to be honest. I think the garage have been brilliant so far, couldn't have been better actually... Was very impressed.

Called phil... As expected straight away happy to get it back and look at it straight away.

Also spoke to him about the liability aspect and he said if its a fitment issue it would kid with them and if its a parts issue it would be with the supplier of the parts... In this case Z1.

Guess I need to get the car down there straight away
