Suddently my zx started to smoke huge from the tail pipes. One day later started to smoke from under the bonet as well, just when i start the engine, for a bit. Where should i go to repair it? The car is highly modified. Thanks

I am a bit dissapointed coz i just paid 8grand for the car and drove it for just 300 miles and broke down....

mate if you have had the car less than 3 months you can go back to the dealer as all dealers whether they say so or not have no choice but to offer a 3 month warranty. it is the law. so you should be able to take it back to wrc and they will have to sort it for you.

i have told the dealer about my problem and they said that might help me.

So thank you again for the tip.

I have been to the mechanic 2day and he said that the turbo`s are gone...but there is a hope that they can be rebuilt in order not to spend £1000 on each brand new! (they are aftermarket)

no problem. who is going to do the turbos for you as D2 will do them at a very competative price and the quality and service there is second to none. are the dealer putting money towards fixing the problem or are they taking the car off you for a while and getting it fixed?

Are you willing to travel with your car? My personal recommendation is Zedworld in Tamworth (Midlands). IMHO its well worth the travel to get it to them. I took it there from where i am which is 110 miles away just for a tune up really and they worked wonders. Would'nt take my zed anywhere else now!

The dealer said that i have signed a paper wich advise me that the car is modified and i wont have any waranty....Certain is that he did not tell me what am i signing for and i did not bother to read...i was too excited and i trust him. However he said to inform him about the problem and he might help me out of goodwill... He better do so coz i am mad!!!

I hope to have an answer from my mechanic on tuesday as he did not work this bank holiday. The waiting is killing me. I will let you know if the turbo`s are repairable(they should). And i did not get your first e mail with D2`s detailes. Pls try one more time(laurentiu_tde@yahoo.co.uk)

have sent the email mate and you can have a dyno done on the surrey rolling road day but there is also a place in caterbury and sittingbourne that do dyno's

Yeah I wouldn't be thinking of anything like that until you've seen the size of the bill for repairing or replacing a pair of aftermarket turbo's.

The engine will most likely have to come out for a start which aint cheap before you even fix them.

Sounds like the dealer is trying to wriggle out of paying anything and quite often they say they will help until you've had the work done elsewhere and then refuse to pay anything towards it in my experience.

 

Anyway why would you want to spoil a nice car like that with a pair of chavvy doors? LOL
