Its not like traction control lol, LSD Will limit the slip when cornering so that both rear wheels are turning at the same speed well at least more than they would with a normal diff, You can also adjust the clutches on an lsd for more or less slip, end results are reducing rear end twitchyness and oversteer throttling out of corners. Traction control will cut the throttle if it senses one wheel is turning faster that the other or if the drive wheels are turning faster that the front wheels or the actual speed of the car. soemthing along those lines.

Anyway an uprated lsd will probably be more expensive, either fitting a lsd clutch internal to the diff or buying complete one.

Think all Z's have this fitted as standard. Stand to be corrected by the experts.

Yeah i think they do but they are non adjustable.

i've never had a car with traction control but the zed is a powerful beast.

I follow these simple rules.

Wet/greasy roads and i mean even slightly moist = drive like your gran

Bone dry road = drive like you stole it but don't want to break it.

These are great cars to have fun in when conditions and roads suit it but I can't honestly say i've felt the need or wished i'd had traction control at anytime.

Don't get me wrong these cars will bite your hand off if driven silly in poor weather conditions and unless theres something seriously wrong with your setup or you drive like a tool you'll have no problems.

There viscous coupling, not as good at transferring torque away from the slipping wheel as a clutch pack type. Then again better than open i guess.

I think i've read somewhere they used them for the longevity, as clutch pack types wear.

I've been looking into the LSD by quaffie and kazaa(??) and your talking of £ks installed compared to the hundreds a traction control system would be.

HTH

Just weld the fooker together :D job done, But expect some wheel bounce round corners and some funny noises and more tyre wear.

Quaiffe make the best diff as it is ATB based (cogs)

All the rest are clutch type and apparently can lock the wheels up.

Race Logic traction control will be the best option for what you are trying to achieve. However i believe a good LSD will give you a tad more grip before the traction control takes the power away.

w00t w00t welded diff for the win!!!

w00t w00t welded diff for the win!!!

If you ever see anyone who has a welded diff try and turn around its the funniest thing ever, they finally turn around after about 5 or 6 turns!
