What's the above worth out of interest? There's one around the corner from me quite a good example just need a good clean an polish. Seems a shame for such a good example to be so dirty. Needs a bit of love before it starts to turn to a rust heap. Looks like its running ok as it's on the roadside parked up so must have tax etc.

I use to have one mate (a 'reg) in red fantastic cars not sure on current value i've seen them from 800 upwards on e-bay various conditions

 

mine was one of the better one's as i'd searched for some time but even that had been welded in places and was certainly not rust free , nice to drive though

depending on miles, mot, servise history and most of all condition of body work if its all ok £1200 to £1500 the main thing is the state of the body work.They are very hard to sell not liked as much as a 240 or 260 so if you buy one aim to keep it for a while,a good target price would be well under £1000 for a good 280z imo

I'll try and take a pic of it at some point the bodywork looks pretty good can see any rust at a glance but not looked in detail

further inspection is the key:), mine looked mint from a glance , but look underneath and there was evidence of past welding , and could see there was gonna be some more needed in the future prob around £200.00 worth

 

i really enjoyed driving it though and apart from the rust issue was a sound motor:D

Theres also the point of 2+0 or 2+2! Personally the 2+2 is rarther ugly as it's been stretched in the roof line (so did the 260Z and 280Z), the only good looking 2+2 version of any Z car is the Z32 IMHO.
