Mine is not working at all and decided to nearly kill me this morning.

When switched off the red led lights up - I selected wet on the dial and led goes off.

The green flashing led doesnt light when stationary then as you move it flashes and gets faster and faster BUT when tubs kick in the back end just slips everywhere.

There doesnt seem to be any ignition spark adjustment whatsoever - not sure if theres a wiring fault or what but its never really worked.

Any ideas?

Anyone lend me the diagnostic lead please?

Hi mate

I would suggest that it needs adjusting or that you might have a duff abs sensor which is sending all the wrong info.

I have the black dongle bit that you need to be able to adjust it. I can post it up to you if you like. I would obviously like it back though! :-)

Have you ever plugged a laptop into it to download and check the configuration? Software is a free download from Racelogic's web site. If you manage to download it I'd be happy to take a look at it for you.

Cheers Steve - I will do it this weekend mate.

just a thought here - are the settings kept by flashable eprom or battery backed up mate?

Just thinking whether disconnecting my battery for 3 months would've lost settings.

Will plug in laptop this weekend regardless - but it could be the fact that settings are lost if they are battery backed up - what a dork I'll feel then.

Just spoken to Racelogic (didnt realise they had a support centre - guy was fantastic) - Think there could be a problem with the RPM wire.

I need to try and select off or 20% on the dial and rev the engine - the green led should flash to show its picking up the signal correctly - I dont think mine does.........

will try and find out.

Update : Plugged laptop in and run the realtime graph option to prove its picking up the revs correctly.

IT does up to 3500rpm then the graph drops to zero revs and bounces between 0 and 3500(ish) revs.

After another phone call to our technical friends it would seem something is hogging the rpm wire (turbo timer) - I have disconnected this but am going to pull it all out properly this weekend as cutting the wire did not fix.

Cool - sounds like you're on the right track! Racelogic tech support is generally pretty good

Sorted :) Or so I think........

After originally tapping into the rpm wire clearly labelled from the turbo timer, I decided to totally remove the turbo timer - still no worky :(

So then I decided to follow the turbo timers rpm wire to the ecu - found it covered in tape.... and it was just loosely wrapped round the exposed ecu rpm wire

Removed this and tapped the racelogic direct into the ecu wire myself (properly with solder) and lo and behold I now have a full rpm range on the laptop

Rule 1 of owning 2nd hand cars : Never assume anything has been done correctly by someone else - should've done this 1st time round. - The outcome is now I could prob get turbo timer wired back up and working too - may save that for a warmer day.

Just need to get out there now and see how good this system is :hyper:

Good one bud. It sounded a bit like like someone had been at it with a tea spoon! Glad you got it sorted. It is a real PITA when it goes wrong! Mine would start missing as soon as you got over about 20mph. Turned out to be knackered front wheel bearings!

Nice one Jay - sounds like you've got it sorted!
