i have been pondering the idea of improving dim headlights and have had this idea.

if i move my sidelights to the spare space in the indicators and remove original fog lights, then replace them with spots with 55watt bulbs(dipped beam rating) then wire those to my dipped beam and get them alligned correctly it should solve the problem.

then the sidelights will work as normal and spots will come on with dipped beam.

But would this still be road legal or an m.o.t failure?

any ideas people;)

by the way my sideloghts are blue aswell now

I would think they would still be classed as fog lights and therefore its illegal to drive round with em on all the time when its not foggy.

As already said spend hundred notes with DTA on here and get yourself a HID kit. 10 minute fitting and a million times better both for practical reasons and cosmetic :D
