It is a great pleasure to announce that the upcoming easter meet on March 30th is gearing up to be the biggest Z32 gathering ever in the UK! Up to today I have roughy 30 cars (40-50 people) confirmed to attend this event and more are registering their intend to visit every day.

 

As promised, please find the final details of the place, time, cost and location:

 

Date: Saturday, 30 March 2002

 

Time: From 1200hrs till whenever ...

 

Cost: £10 per head (payable in cash upon arrival)

 

Lunch will be served from 1300hrs

 

Location: The Boat Inn (pub), 222 Hampton Lane, Catherine de-Barnes, Solihull, B91 2TJ, West Midlands

Directions:

 

If you're coming from the South:

 

M42 (North)

Get off at J5 and turn left onto the A4141 (direction Solihull)

Dual Carriage way turns to single lane.

Turn right onto the B4102 (Hampton lane).

Follow it through until you pass the second side street on the right (Henwood lane) and the Boat Inn is on your right hand side.

 

If you're coming from the North:

 

M42 (South)

Get off at J6 (NEC & airport) and turn right onto the A45 (Birmingham S.E.)

Stay in the left lane which will veer off to the left and onto an island - turn left onto the B4430 (Catherine de-Barnes Lane).

Follow it to the 1st island and turn right onto the B4102 (Hampton Lane).

Go over the humpback bridge and the pub is immediately on your left hand side.

 

Car park:

 

There is a big car park to the side & behind the pub. I have managed to commandeer the entire space behind the pub.

 

I would like to ask that you arrive around 12 o'clock, as the pub isn't open until then anyways!

 

I've also been asked by the management of the pub if we could please resist the urge to leave any rubber on the tarmac (yes Matty, your exit marks from the xmas meet were clearly visible for weeks!) I'd like us to remain in their good books for any future meets so I kindly ask you to please respect their request.

Hi John,

 

Not a boring question at all mate! In the interest of satisfying both camps I have tried to make the menu as diverse as possible. The food will be buffet-style with for our vegetarian friends a choice of potatoes, garlic bread, salad(s) and mushrooms. There will also be quiche available, which I think is acceptable to vegetarians but not being one myself I could be completely off the mark here!

 

Hope this doesn't put anyone off!

Thanks, yes vegetarians do eat quiche as long as no meat in it. Vegans seem to just graze in fields or something.

 

And yes my kids will be in tow, both girls seem to have a love of sportscars.
