In simple terms it fits into the big hole in the middle :). It can only go in one way to fit flush. But you need to make sure you have the little metal wobble nipple (not sure of it's technical term) at the top. This will prevent any air locks in the engine as they will push out to the pipes through this.

 

I've know someone to fit it upsidedown before, never caused any major issues but he always had a slight air bubble inside the engine and it caused it to run hotter than normal.

Its really quite easy to fit. You just need some long allan keys and some instant gasket

cool, i worry about the easiest of things, ive fitted a wide arch kit, ive removed and replaced a rad support bracket and many other scary lookin things (like removed my hicas and fitted a solid bar and done both ball joints lol, im worrying about a fookin thermostat
