Hi , very soon i hope mr duff is going to get his finger out and also my engine

, while its out i want to fully clean and make as good as i can to factory fresh, the engine bay , which is the best method to use and which chemicals or solutions and tools will i need .. ??? what precautions should i take with regards to electrical connections , i am changing the loom anyway thanks in advance

autoglym engine and machine cleaner is very good! it's water based also so doesn't sting your eyes etc like the normal stuff. all i did was sprayed it liberally,left to soak in for 5or so mins then used an old nail/tooth brush and painting brushes to agitate any heavy grime etc, once thats done basically just hose off and repeat till your happy with it's cleanliness. i taped up any connectors etc with food bags.

nice one ive loads of sandwhich bags in the cupboard and since the missus has bogged off i can do what i want with them :)

You're not meant to spray it in your eyes, point it at the engine bay :D

Hi Chris , nah mate still at Sarahas "waiting" to get done its been a year next month it was took down , its just sitting there i could have been driving it for a year and enjoying it , instead of plodding about in that C4......, would love to get it sprayed Ron but if i delay Andy in putting the engine back in it might take another soddin year
