Pretty good episode this week, lots more questions answered.

Still can't believe its going to be done next week, I'm sure they could squeeze another series in.

The "Jacob's mum" episode was awesome, and the most important yet. If only they'd shown near the beginning somewhere. I reckon a lot more people wouldn't have given up on it.

I'm sort of glad they did leave it till the last episode otherwise some of the mystery would have been lost for us die hard fans :)

Can't wait now, 1 hour 15 minutes to go before the end of work...... :hyper:

Probably not, given that this last series has kinda answered things but it feels somewhat rushed and last minute.

It does seem obvious that they didnt know where things were going from the start, some of the eps such as the jacob one just feel hashed together abit, we still don't know why the island has a light.

Or what the "pressing the button" was all about. Or how Jacob's brother turned into smoke.

Or what the Dharma Initiative was actually for. Or who built the statue. Or who the original "others" are. Or why Claire's baby was so important to them. Or why Hurley hasn't lost any weight.

I think the ending will be good but will leave hundreds of questions behind that people will talk about for years to come.

Another one for Mac ^ how come the six numbers kept cropping up everywhere, e.g. Hurley's lottery numbers, written around the hatch door, etc.

Or what the "pressing the button" was all about. Or how Jacob's brother turned into smoke.

if at least these questions get anwsered I will kind of be happy, but i think these kind of question have been forgotten about and the only ones that will be anwsered are the questions from this series.

As said a few times, i think they have created too many questions over the years and haven't left enought time to anwser them all, they had the chance this season to male a start but basically just created more questions after each episode, looking forward to 5am to see how it all finishes.

Most of these have been answered though

The button was to discharge the electromagnetic build up in the energy pocket that the hatch was originally design for, then the "incident" happened and the function of the swan station was to manage the electromagnatism by pushing the button.

Jacobs brothers transformation into the smoke monster was shown in a few epsidodes back.

More about the others here http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/The_Others

The Dharma initiative was explained in the swan orientation film clip,

Quote from lostpedia

According to various orientation films, the Initiative was founded in 1970 by Gerald and Karen DeGroot, two doctoral candidates at the University of Michigan. It was financially backed by Danish industrialist and munitions magnate Alvar Hanso and his Hanso Foundation. The alleged purpose of the Initiative, according to the Swan Orientation film, was to create "a large-scale communal research compound where scientists and free-thinkers from around the globe could pursue research in meteorology, psychology, parapsychology, zoology, electromagnetism, and Utopian social-[static]."

The Barracks video also said that the mission of the Initiative on the Island was to study its unique properties for the betterment of mankind and advancement of world peace.

The Sri Lanka Video of The Lost Experience appears to build on the last statement, explaining that the DHARMA Initiative was part of a project begun in response to the Valenzetti Equation commissioned by the UN in 1967, a mathematical formula that reportedly predicts the amount of time until the extinction of mankind. The purpose of the DHARMA Initiative on the Island was to use scientific research to manipulate the environment in order to change any one of the core factors of the Valenzetti Equation which, in turn, would change the Equation's result and thus change mankind's destiny. They were also interested in researching the unique properties on the Island found nowhere else in the world, again for the betterment of humanity.

The hurley weight thing was answered by them showing him stashing food they found in the hatch.

Yeah, but why?

Yeah, but not the how.

That's a lot of info that wasn't clear in the show.

They didn't have enough for him to sustain that much weight.
