General Maintenance

Having just got my Z from Corvetteman it is in super condition and there really is nothing I need to do except learn how to drive an auto properly (any tips?)

My main question is what general things should I be doing regularly/weekly to keep it in this shape?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Is it a tt or n/a ?

Its a TT!

Well if youve a Turbo Timer Fitted USE IT!! If you have been boosting then stop at home or work make sure you leave the car for a min to let the Turbos spin down, will extend their life span!

Dont run too much boost otherwise BANG will happen :)

Let the car Idle for a minute before driving (not like 5mins) so that oil can pump around will feel much nicer than just hopping in a cold engine and driving away!

Just a few to get you started :D

I check the oil, water and levels every other week. Give it a good wash when its dirty and polish at least once a month. Its got to the stage that there is so much polish on it, even when its mucky it just washes off.

I do and oil and filter change every 3-4 months. Just general maintenance.

Look after the zed and it will look after you. If i could stop spending cash on tyres it would be a bonus, as most of the rubber is stuck on the local roundabouts

Mine is a UK TT Manual, tiny bit of rust on one of the rear arches, but it passed its mot first time. Starts, purrs, and pulls as it should.

I have a Greedy turbo timer but need to work it out-will def start using it though

Greedy turbo timer

LOL!!! Yeah you might have an Auto setting where it works out how long to keep the engine running for till Turbos are fine! If you know how far youve got to go before you get to Destination leave at least 3miles with no boosting and when you park up 0-30secs of idle should be fine! As said before

LOOK AFTER YOUR ZED AND IT WILL LOOK AFTER YOU
