My zed at the moment has a bespoke exhaust on it (I think) but the middle section of the exhaust is completely rotten. I've seen exhaust middle sections for sale on the zcentre website for £135 exc. VAT and was wondering if anyone on here had had them made bespoke or has got them from somewhere eles for anything less than that? I don't know if I'm missing how much work is involved in creating these but £135 + VAT seems a bit steep for basically two pipes :) Also a bit worried that I'm going to spend that much money on a middle section and then have to pay more to have it modified to fit the bespoke rear section.

Any advice appreciated,

Vern

Cheers ruishy1 - it's the bit behind the cats that I'm after though. The bit that links the cats to the rear section/silencers.

i have the mid section from the z centre and i can honestly say the quality is second to none!!!

if you want to buy the mid section you usually have to get it with a set of tail pipes too.. i dont know of many places that sell them seperate.

ahhh, gotch, that will teach me to skim :mac1:

again check ebay, there are usually bits on there ;)

you are after this bit right

Yeh hellraiser that's the bit I'm looking for. I know most places don't sell the mid section seperately that's why I'm thinking it's gonna be perhaps a local engineering shop who'll have equipment to bend a new pipe if I take the old one off to get it's shape.

I've had a quick look on ebay ruishy1 but couldn't see anything but cheers - I'll keep checking :)

your local performance shop should be able to do it. or a welder fabricators but you will pay quite a bit for them to do it.

Just to back up Ruishy, 2fast 2cool on ebay do sell that part, as thats where I got my exhaust. Best giving them a ring to make sure that they will sell the middle section on its own though. Good luck.

Cheers hellraiser, I'll make a few phone calls tomorrow and try to get some quotes.

Cheers, Osty1. I'll send them an email now to enquire about the middle section.

If your current exhaust is bespoke then its very likely that an off the shelf solution will not fit. All depends on wether they based measurements on the stock system, or if they just custom made it to fit by hand.

Cheers Legrath - that's the sort of thing I was thinking. That was my main concern with ordering from zcentre - I might have to have it modified to fit my current system. I'll have to take the current mid-section off and get someone to make one from the shape of the old one. Anyone know any exhaust system designers close-ish to Stoke? :D

I had mine done by ExhaustsUk.com who are also doing my custom manifolds and zorts for the V8 project as well. Very high quality and a reasonable price
