A Senior Trade Union official has warned the government, that one of the Major car plants in the UK could close within days, if they dont rescue them, I wonder which one it is?? :(

I cant see them bailing out the car industry infortunatly...the problem being that the companies are all Foreign

i heard something on the news today about saab and put 2 and 2 together, if not saab then i would say vauxhall

im all for heloing people that need it, but what can the govermet do, if people aint buying cars, how can the goverment bail them out, its a terrible situation with a no win end for anybody

I'm pretty sure it isn't saab, they've just been cut loose from gm but have applied to the Swedish government for protection.

 

I also saw a bit where the trade unionist responsible for saying this has been criticized for scaremongering with unfounded allegations. There aren't any car plants in the uk that are known to be on the brink apparently. We'll just have to wait and see

they cant employ 6000 when they only produce such a low number of cars surely?

with sales staff, production staff, admin staff and so on, im sure they will have 6k workers

I know it's a bit crap but this country cannot afford to bail out every company thats against the wall at the momement. We all will have to pick up this f###ing huge tax bill that the greedy bankers, estate agents and turn a blind eye government have caused. We're gonna hit a time warp and end up starting all over again. The banks don't give a toss about the 100's or thousand's of honest hard working small business's why should the fat cat's be any different
