I was told this afternoon that I will be working at a client site in the UK for the next 6 months (may be longer) and this works out to 600 miles a week (week in, week out) and I do not think that I can put my Zed through this (and the cost involved), do not get me wrong, I know that I am lucky in the current economic situation to still have work for the medium term

But doing this sort of milage will be quite costly and not good for the Zed, I do not have the option of keeping it as 2 cars is expensive enough.

I am very sad about this but have listed my Zed on pistonheads and it will be on here soon.

I am moving to our 08 reg scenic (7 seater 1.6 power) and the misses wanting a small 2 seater, I so wish I had job 5 to 10 miles away :(

Guy thats only 15,000 ish miles ... If you don't thrash the zed there and back it should do it fine.... Have a word with Jeff at zedworld about it... as long as you change the oil frequently and get Jeff to Conzult it you should be fine

The one thing is drive it without stressing it.... but they love to be driven. Jeff has said to me the one reason I have relatively few problems with mine is that I use it as a daily drive and do long trips at least once a week and that keeps everything sweet

Don't sell it and regret it

Mine is my daily drive mate, she goes everywhere! Dont get rid of it

i prob get worse mpg with mine by using it as a daily drive but only about 5 miles to work and 5 back and thats it

I have tried to talk Kate into using it but she does not like driving it  and I have even tried  too but that is not working either :headvswal.

I've done 108,000 miles in my daily drive (Primera 2.0TDS Estate 90HP) in the last 45 months and it's sooo boring. I bought the Zed for the weekend and the odd day of sunshine that we get up here.

Be prepared to be bored ..................:(

buy a very cheap runaround, in the curretn situation cars are going for 200 quid :x:

trust me the 1.6 vvti 7 seater scenic is that bad it has 6 gears and hits 4,000 rpm at 75mph :mac1:

Dont do it mate. Buy a polo for 500 quid and use it for work will cost peanuts to run and enjoy the zed at the weekends.

Do the above matey :D

I use a 1.4 Rover 25 for daily driving and just use the zed when i fancy it :D

I used my zed for the daily commute and so long as you stick to around the 65-68mpg you'll get about 30-32mpg out of your TT.

They're grand tourers and jap ones at that so they'll soak up the mileage so i wouldn't worry about it mate

mate unless there's something wrong with your motor, and as long as you check her over regularly and do the usual stuff like not blatting her from cold, and driving the last few miles off boost etc. she'll look after you. mine always looks forward to the daily drive to work and back :D
