Got really pissed off with ASDA food quality recently so sent them this letter of complaint

Dear Asda

It takes a lot for me to make a complaint so by now you can imagine I have got to the final straw.

each and every week I shop at asda to stock up on grocery’s as do many millions of other people in the Uk. One of my treats is to purchase hotcross buns from your Gloucester Store. About a year ago the buns started to decline in quality, within the last two months the hot cross buns have become so poor they are almost RAW yes RAW dough. Hotcross buns should be baked all the way through with a legible X on them and then coated with a sugar syrup when taken from the oven. NOT YOURS!!!

You may think this is quite trivual, but on the evening of friday the 13th of feb 2009 I also purchased some chicken breasts, nothing untoward there you might think BUT on using then tonight I find that they have gone off despite the use by date of 18th Feb 2009 and storing then in the refrigerator.

It seems the quality, and availability at your Gloucester Store is in a VERY BAD state, I only assume you are trying to push your customers to another food vender only just down the road?

I will seriously be thinking twice about attending your Supermarket within the near future.

Yours disgruntled

I've never bought from ASDA - a few people put me off the idea of shoping there.

Its Sainsburys or Tesco (very rarely). Sainsbury's quality is dropping too - found bones in their chicken fillets once :hurl:

Hope you get something out of them esp the chicken breasts issue!

better going to netto for chicken breast as they leave the nipple on:D

It's the principle, isn't it mate? I'd do the same.

You buy something and you expect a certain standard for what you pay for. I personally do not like Asda or Tesco (least of all Tesco - it's really crap) so I only shop in Sainsburys or M&S.

But if I had issues with a product I'd complain too - it's the only way to get the supermarkets to keep their standards up. More people should write in with product quality issues to ensure we don't get shafted!

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
