Hi all,

I bought an engine stand so i can finish off my engine!

Im scared of putting the complete engine on the stand even though the stand can take upto 500kg.

Im more bothered about what i need to use to bolt the engine to the stand.

Do i need strenthend bolts or anything like that?

My worst nightmare would be for the engine to be to heavy for the bolts and it falls to the floor.

Thanks

Dan

used 1 loads of times m8 ....as long as the bolts are long enough and youve mounted the brace properly youll have no problems.just bloody heavy:rofl:

i've got my spare engine mounted on a sealey 450kg jobby, its been on there for about a month, no problems at all. I've just got bog standard bolts holding it up and seems fine.

HTH

I had a TT engine on a stand for about 2 years with no problems at all, wheeled it about and it was fine. As already said just make sure the bolts are long enough. Can email you a picture of the position of the braces if you need it.
