im sure most of you already know this car as petes21st and UNO and john-e-retro have all owned it. my son was looking for a project zed so he bought this zed today with his own money. (he is only 14). he is very interested in zeds and knows much more about them than me. (most of the mechanical advice on the forums from me is actually my son:rofl:)

when picking it up i noticed some worse bits that i hadnt before such as the rear wheel being knocked out of line and the drivers door being knocked out of line. also there is a large dent infront of the door which i fear has bent the chassis but hey ho, my son will lear alot taking it apart etc...

just like to say a thanks to john-e-retro for being helpful and for selling us the car.

nice one, good luck to the little fella, best time to learn TBH, and he picked a right complex one to learn from :slap:

TBH i'm sure it looks alot worse than it is. I've fixed much worse things than that. Spend plenty of time on it and it'll come out great :D Zed bits are nice and cheap anyway! :)

I have a nice silver N/a bumper with the mustache sprayed silver and vents in the bottom corners, tell him to give me a shout when he's ready

well done to you both, 14yrs + z project car, hopefully it will take about 2 yrs of his time and all his money and then he will be an even finer young man with a nice z:D

I wanted you to win on the deal, so worst case, you should be able to sell the gearbox alone, for what you paid for the car, then pounds in your pocket from there.

Hey yassa, congrats to you and your son for getting another one! I normally pop down to my friend who lives in kent every once in a while so when im next down i might pop in on your progress if you dont mind that is!

I think my friends postcode is DA14 you live anywhere near that?

Also he will have to wait until he is atleast 20 to insure a jap import!

Hey Stu, don't forget I have that breaker on my drive, It's silver as well, and the offer of any welding that needs doing still stands.
