Boost Pressure

I am making progress with the single turbo conversion and I am just getting a 50mm external wastegate, i don't know what spring rating to get. I have an option of several and will also run an electronic boost controller with it. Any ideas on which ones to go for?

 

Also what is the maximum boost pressure I go up to safely with this spec engine

    You want one that is quite low because when you fit an EBC you cant set the boost pressure lower than the wastegate pressure.

     

    Maybe 10, 12 or 15psi would be good?

    Thanks, I assume you can then set the EBC for a higher pressure than the spring?
