:headvswalI have a problem where the Air con, power mirrors, wipers, cig lighter etc have no power. I have checked all fuses and have found there to be no power entering the above fuses inside the drivers compartment. Where does this power come from and how can I find its source??? Preferably without having to rip everything out to do so.

If I apply a positive lead to the wipers fuse (from the front)the wipers work. I assume the same will ocur for the rest.

The accessory relay may have blown, thus not allowing power through to the fuse board.

Do the lights, int light, radio work? There are relays below the fuse board, accessed by removing the kick panel around the fuse door/flap.

The power is supplied by the ignition switch, so you could look for a break or short.

Its unusual for none of the items, in control of that fuse board, not to work.

There are also fuses in the engine bay to check.

Have a look at the electrical section in the online manual. EL 144 .

Hope this helps.

I have checked all the fuses inside the cabin and under the bonnet. How do I know if the relay under the fuses is not working ? can I safely swap it with another temporarily????

Is this relay accessible without removing the fuse box?

All power on the indicator/lights side work, just not the Aircon/wipers and mirrors/clock.

So you are getting power to the fuse box if the lights work, interior light, stereo.

It would point to either a relay which for testing purposes you should be able to interchange. There are also some relays in the main fuse box under the bonnet, which at least for the air con is there.

If you look at the online manual, it shows you where all the relays are, the ones inside the cabin are under the fuse board and not behind, you need to remove the triangle shaped plastic kickpanel by the accelerator pedal. there are a few relays scattered around under the dash, in the passenger footwell also just above the kickpanel.

The online manual EL-144 shows these.

I had the same fault, it did turn out to be the accessory relay behind the fuse board. It's one of the relays along the bottom, real pain to get at as the board has to be unbolted and turned to allow access to the relays. Just make a note of the part No and swap with another from engine bay to confirm, then get another from out of a breaker.

Thanks heaps guys, Yes it was the relays behind the kick panel, the accessories relay had actually fallen off into the well. This was probably during the fitting of the Lambo doors where they needed to pull through some extra cable to allow the doors to open upwards.

When I checked the first time I didnt pull it off all the way so I couldnt tell that it was missing(not knowing how many there were supposed to be), so I just checked that the others did work. Once totally frustrated I then came back to it and inspected further.

Any way all done now, thank god ! It's absolutely pissing down with rain here for the last week and my wife is full term, I couldnt imagine having to drive her to the hospital in the middle of the night in pouring rain with no wipers, no dimisters with fogged up windshield and her screaming at me to hurry up!!!!!

Thanks again....

Your going to take her in the zed? crikey mate that needs a pic for your rides section!

Hi Husam, glad you got it sorted, good luck with your new arrival.

All the best

Graham
