I'm z less, not happy watched my baby be driven away by her new owner.

The car needed finishing and it had dawned on me that it was never really going to happen if I kept it lol.

I have a new motor tho, a dog of an mr2 turbo lol

she feels as quick as the z through 2nd and 3rd, so much more grip, but lacks the power to pull hard at the top end.

might get a bit more mpg tho lol

Yes mate, black tin top turbo :) Needs tidying but got it for not much money

Its in the top bit at the moment next to the directors parking, going out at dinner so might be somewhere else when i get back!

Yeah paul had to drop a little as it really needed a proper respray, he basically bought the engine and other bits and the car was a freebee lol

Can see it out my office window, looks alright :) Will you be looking for another zed in the future?

Not sure at the moment there are so many other cars I want to own. I loved the z but fancy'd something that would perform well on track days.

I'm hoping that the mr2 will be trackable in the summer, should eat 300s through the bends :)

Other than a lambo its the first mid engined car I have driven and its very very different to the z. The front end is very light and locks without too much effort, can understeer too, corrected with power but it can snap back and try to kill you lol. So much grip compared to the 300 though, just grips and goes in the low gears :)

Congrats on the sale mate :)

I've had a Mk2 MR2 but it was'nt turbo. Always thought it lacked grunt but from what i've heard about the tubby version they're a bit of a monster :D

Oh heck, I loved the spec of your hardware on the car :(

But least you have something fun still

Bugger sorry to hear that buddy, hope you'll still make the meets though (when we have some)? :D

I loved my mr2 gti mk2, awesome car

 didn't even know you were selling! :slap:

Sorry to hear that Ed.

I was working in the new Whitemoor Lane Surgery shop today and thought about you as I drove up the hill tonite

You won't be unimpressed with the '2 through the twisties, my friends beemer 540i can't keep up with me on corners (I have a '91 n/a import), and t'other half (who has a 350Z) still grabs for handles in corners that the Z wouldn't take as fast.

Mind you, despite the '2 agility, I still want a ZX :P

It is a bit quite on the meets front, might have to move to cornwall :slap:

Thanks all

Have been faffing with the mr2 ths evening tidying bits up, needs an engine mount sorting and some track arms.

Replumed the boost gauge so it reads vacuum now too, only problem is instead of it holding a healthy 0.6 bar it clocks round to where 2 bar would be if it read that far!

Staying well off the boost for the mo but i'm still not trusting the crap tim gauge it came with as im sure nothing done is stopping the actuator opening.

The z has gone to a forum member so will not be lost forever i hope!
