We have something called eu-kontroll in Norway. Same as your mot.

About the emission test... Like many others I don't have the cat on my car anymore. What about mixing ethanol e85 with gasoline.to pass the emission test? Wouldn't that lower the emissions enough to pass along with the fuel dampner trick?

Featured Replies

during a MOT in the uk the z32 is a non-cat test so no lambda readings are taken / used :D

that said there was a link on here somewhere on how to pull a certain pipe off which makes the emissions hit target possibly the dampner you refer to already ;)

Trond, ethanol attacks your injectors and fuel system in general. I would not go near it IMO.

If you do a search, I'm sure there's a pipe that can simply be pulled off before the test and refitted afterwards.

Shouldn't be failing emissions anyway, fix the problem rather than bodging to pass the test is my opinion.

I was thinking about a 70% gasoline and 30% ethanol mixture. Or maybe 80-20 mixture. And just enought fuel/ethanol for the test. 10 liters maybe...

Also, I have the new style injector. They should withstand ethanol.
