Results from Drag Racing this weekend. 12.1sec 1/4. Yeaaahh

I am very very happy with the results.

I got the first place in my category (Nitro II).

I just want to say that with 110shot of NOS (Wet Kit) and Blitz intake i did 12.1sec 1/4. Thats amazing. I am sure i could have hit 11's if I knew how to do a proper burnout. No Boost (boost went up to 13PSI when NOS kicks in). Strip interior (i used stock seat). Brand new slicks. I also removed exhaust system (replace with 3" pipes)

1st test run: I couldnt do a burnout of my slicks (actually i never did). Against an MR2 turbo with 150 shot if Nos. He did 14's something. Me 12.1 with bad start.

2nd run: Against a bone stock 300ZX N/A with 200 shot of NOS. He did 14's something. Me 12.3

I had race several other cars which didnt stand a change.

I went to the semi-semi-finals.

Run against the MR2 again. Smoke him badly. I did 12.4

Semi-finals: That was a shock. Run against an M5 with 300 (twin NOS setup) shot of NOS.

150 shots at first gear, and 150 afterwards.

Dead even. FFS. Something is wrong with my car. 13.3sec. He did 13.4. I go back to my team and check this out. The entire hard pipe (left turbo) has been disconnected. I am amazed that i still won.

Finals: Against an M3 with 200 shot of NOS. He was sure that I am about to loose because he has smoke the M5 by several cars. What he didnt know is that I have put the hard pipe back to its place. Hit the pedal and i got the jump. At about 100 meters he was 2 cars behind. Afterwards he was just a tiny little think on my mirror. I did 12.4

My team (10 cars in total) got 8 awards. And also we got the award of the best team. My mechanic with the Mitsubishi EVO-III did 10.7 and now he is the fastest man in Cyprus. He took the first place from the Skyline (10.8).

All the results will be placed today or tommorrow at:

www.dragster.gr

I cant wait to see my 60foot times and all my results.

P.S 500Hp Supra broke down and didnt attend the race.

Awesome times, well done dude, have you got actual time slips or are they going to just post them on that site? Very very impressive, what slicks were you using?

and what was your trap speed?

They are going to post the results on the side (thats the time slips basically).

I have seen my second run results and my trap speed was something like 187Km (12.3sec 1/4)

Slicks called: Mike Thompson Drag (15" inch 255)

yeah that sounds awesome, so you were really hooking up bigtime with the slicks, have you got any pics of the event, sounds like they are into it very much in Greece.

11's would have been sooooo good, pity you missed it by so little.

I have lots and lots of pics which i have to download first on the computer and I will post the best ones. The event will be also on a DVD and I am looking forward to see it.

I am pretty sure that with a few mods (downpipes, 555's injectors, pulley, and a proper burnout smile.gif smile.gif ) i could go 11's very easy.

What impressed me was this guy with the N/A 300ZX and 200 shot of NOS. Best run he had was 13.9. He told me that he's been running with 200 shot of NOS for the last 2 years and his engine runs fine. When he was about to race with me, he open the NOS injectors even more smile.gif and raise the fuel pumb pressure even more to get more fuel smile.gif but still he was far behind at the end of the 1/4.

well this guy proves who's car is faster than mine debate!!

nice 1 bud(fastest zed on the forum award to you)

NitroPow - you are THE MAN !!

That really makes my best 13.3s very feeble!

Z its hard to launch. If you ever go at the track spend some money on slicks. It makes a big differnce. You can gain at least 0.5 sec, maybe even more

By the way: In my second run i did 12.3

As far as i remember i had a reaction time 1.2 sec. smile.gif [That sucks.] and 60 foot 1.9sec. [i remember this from the results on the computer at the drag event]

I am waitting to see my times at the

web-side.

12.1?

Well that puts you only 1 second behind the McLaren F1 and 0.2 behind the Caterham RS500 AND....even better 0.3 IN FRONT of the TVR Cerbera.

Bravo.
