Started work on tidying the car body work this week and fitting new radio.As i have not driven the car for the two weeks iv had it.So i whent to start it up and it was dead know lights not even a click the central locking would not work. The alarm kept going off so took the battery to my local shop and yes it also dead whont hold a charge. So im picking new battery up tomorrow hope this solves the problem. so the paying out started already and iv only drove it 25 miles so far ha ha

Batteries go al the time over Winter!Mine's on the blitz too if it makes you feel better! Will need a new one aswell :(

 

But for me to open the bonnet i have to climb through the boot as Both Door Locks are fooked :(

My project car only locks through the fob. The battery is mounted in the boot so i connect it when i'm working on it then lock the doors, open the boot and disconnect the terminals to preserve its life.

 

Works a treat :D

 

Other option is to put some emergency terminals under the bumper so you can connect a battery charger to them in the event that the battery goes dead and you can't get the bonnet open to charge it.
