advice on one piece prop

sadly the other week my autobox went bang so am now having it converted to manual. is it worth me getting a one piece prop done at the same time? what are the benefits? where do i get one from? how much?

    Hey mate they are lighter and stiffer so more turning force goes to the wheels rather than getting lost in turning a heavier prop. It is also a significant weight saving over the original prop.

     

    I got mine from Z1 in the states was about 300 squids delivered. Down side is that if you have worn bushes etc it can accentuate any play in the system.

    a one-piece lightweight prop has always been on my wish list - but im close to getting an NA diff - am i correct in thinking that a hybrid TT/NA prop is required for the NA diff and therefore if I wanted a one-piece instead it would have to be custom-made?

    Their was a guy on ebay who I think came from the Bristol area who made them to order for £250. Will See if I can find out more.

    Z1 and AMZ both do there 1 piece props in any configuration you require.

     

    Mine is a SWB TT Manual prop with NA rear end.

    cheers mate - do Z1/AMZ require you to send over your stock props first, or can you pay extra and not bother? i always get the impression they'll only do it on a return basis.
