Light Steering

Hey all

I had a go in a friends car this evening (alfa) and the steering was very nicely weighted. Is there any way to change the lightness in the Zeds steering to make it feel more "weighted" ?

Are new steering columns heavier? can you use ones from different cars?

Cheers

Ron

Mine weighs a ton? you will find it hard to go around a bend fast without 2 hands on the wheel.

I think on the zx the steering is adjusted by the speed so around town it is quite light :)

Do you have jap clocks with them converted to MPH ? As they make the steering lighter becuase it tricks the ECU into thinking your going slower than you atually are.

Also a smaller steering wheel helps.

Hey mate no I have uk clocks in a jap car. A smaller wheel is something I can try for a while I've got my momo in the garage.

I just wondered if there was a way of adjusting it? Or using a different rack? 350z maybe?

I have noticed that it feels alot tighter when I ratchet the coilovers up to hard. Is it like ly that extra stiffening at the front end would provide the same feedback?
