does anyone know what the light-up 300zx rear centre panel inverters power is.was told 12vdc-110vac. got new one in america but doesnt work.has power but wont light up.original el panel.....also finding it hard to source inverters-help me-im going nuts!!!:mad:

it should be 110v are you sure the panel isnt fubar?

if its definately 110v-its probably my dodgy wire connecters.ill start over again tomorrow.cheers hellraiser.love zeds but allways keep you busy!!

You know that it's not just the voltage that's important, it's the frequency too. Typically EL panels need a supply that is 130Vac and 800Hz, so a special inverter is required. It sounds like you've just got a 12Vdc to 110Vac 60Hz mains inverter. Problem is that if you've plugged that into the EL panel you might have damaged it.

Is the centre panel an OEM one or an aftermarket one as they use different inverters.

Sorry to butt in....but if you need one...i have plenty of inverters that will run the back panels 100% perfectly. I have supplied quite a few people on here with them and they've worked a treat!
