Comparisons with he Beatles is laughable imo.

The beatle wrote a plethora of classic melodies, clever lyrics and were nice men.

 

I do, however, think that Live Forever is a classic song.

I saw the Inspiral Carpets at the G-Mex in '89 while home on station leave for a month on Armilla Patrol in the Gulf. My mates sister worked for the Sunday Sport in Manc land and managed to get a few of us tickets. I told my girlfriend at the time I was going on a 9mm shooting course in Portsmouth! ROFLMFAO

 

Saturday night was mostly getting leo'd and watching the Inspirals then onto Manchester Uni for the after gig party. Met Tom Hingley and Clint Boon and drunk many cans of Red Stripe. then onto the Hacienda and ended up in a B&B where Bez from the Happy Mondays had been staying the night before! Cool as fcuk I believe is the saying?!?!?!?!?! Class!
